GLOBAL ARTIVISM CONVENINGS
The next chapter of Global Artivism begins in the regions.
Across six regional virtual convenings, artists, artivists, cultural practitioners, organizers, and storytellers will come together to exchange ideas, strengthen regional connections, and shape the future of the movement.
The first two regions are now open for participation.
Before each convening, we’re inviting people to share the work they’re already doing, the challenges they’re facing, and the questions they believe deserve collective attention. These contributions will shape the conversations, priorities, and exchanges during the convenings themselves.
There is no single way to participate. Respond in any language, and choose the format that feels most natural to you: written responses, voice notes, or short videos are all welcome.
Whether you’ve been part of artivist movements for years or are just beginning to explore how creativity, culture, and collective action come together, there is a place for you here.
By participating, you’ll shape your regional convening, connect with practitioners across your region, and become part of a growing global movement leading toward Global Artivism Month and the Fourth Global Artivism Convening in Ethiopia in 2027.
There are no wrong answers. Every contribution helps build a movement that learns from itself and creates new possibilities together.

2025 GLOBAL ARTIVISM CONVENING
From Bahia for a historic moment, where artists, activists, and communities united to imagine a new future.
The second Global Convening in Salvador, Brazil was a pivotal gathering. From November 3–5, 2025, over 1,000 artists, activists, and cultural leaders united ahead of COP 30 to amplify cultural power and collective action.
This convening came at a critical juncture: the submission deadline for new Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) — key roadmaps for national climate strategies. With climate leaders gathering in Brazil and movements mobilizing for decisive protests, our convening will played a crucial role in shaping momentum leading into COP 30.
More than a conference, this convening was a catalytic moment to align cultural strategy with political and climate action. Together, we reimagined what’s possible when art and activism converge:

A STRATEGIC MOMENT: COP30
The urgency of this convening lied in its timing. Just days before the UN Climate Conference (COP30) in Belem, when the world’s eyes will turn to Brazil, this gathering a critical space to organize, align, and amplify our calls for climate solutions. As new Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) are submitted and climate leaders converge, we uplifted the voices of those most impacted—and most creative—ensuring that culture, art, and justice are at the heart of the global movement for climate action.
